Faster Than Light

Well, not really but I thought it was cool title. Took this shot last night on the way home from the East Bay. That’s the wife driving, by the way. This was taken in the tunnel going through Treasure Island that leads to the upper deck of the Bay Bridge’s main span.

I have a second shot taken on the actual main span that looks really cool too. Check it out on my flickr page!

  1. Hi, great shots, i like your page. I’m an aspiring photographer and i’m still trying to figure out my d5000. I was wondering, how were you able to take this shot in a moving vehicle for 4 seconds and now have the inside of the cabin be blurry? Are the roads in SF that well made?

    1. Really steady hands! Just kidding.

First off, I had a tripod set up in the back seat to steady the camera. Second, I used a really wide angle lens at its widest focal length (in this case 11mm). The wider the angle, the less apparent any blur from movement will be. That’s basically it!
