A few weeks back we took a quick drive out to Yosemite. The park was its typical beautiful self, only there was a huge wildfire raging that day. Huge clouds of smoke billowed from behind the Half Dome and could be seen from just about anywhere we happened to be throughout our one-day visit.
As the sun fell, the plumes of smoke lit up in a beautiful, purplish hue, and we pulled to the side of the road to catch a stunning sunset.
I definitely have to come back for a more leisurely visit next time.
